| Gerrie Britz was a versatile forward that could play lock or in the back row. Hailing from the famous Grey College in Bloemfontein, Britz made his Test debut in the same city where he went to school when he was called up as an injury replacement on the eve of the Ireland Test in 2004. He was quick and skilful and played his last Test in 2007, just missing out on a spot in the RWC squad to France.
